DATAlife participated, on February 2nd, in the IV Forum of Productive Innovation of the Agricultural Sector organized by the Galician Agency for Food Quality (AGACAL).
In this forum, in which around 150 representatives of the sector and the administration participated, the results of 20 projects developed in the last three years under the aid of the Galician Rural Development Program (PDR) 2014-2020 were presented. Specifically, they were carried out through grants aimed at supporting pilot projects, development of new products, practices, processes and technologies.
The 20 innovative projects are related to various fields of the agricultural sector, from dairy to wine, from native breeds to organic products.
Presentation of the European project AgrifoodTEF
During the meeting, a space was reserved for the presentation of the European project AgrifoodTEF, which offers services that help evaluate and validate Artificial Intelligence and robotics solutions for companies, especially SMEs, in real conditions to maximize the impact of digitalization in the agri-food and forestry sector.
This companies will be able to test, validate and certify their products and services befores they are launched on the market, both in physical facilities and platforms for virtual testing.
It is a leading European project in which seven other countries participate apart form Spain: Italy, Germany, France, Belgium, Poland, Austria and Sweden. In Galicia, the sectoral focus will be on experimenting with technologies for livestock, precision agriculture and the food industry.
The Spanish members of the project are the University of Lleida (UdL), the University of Córdoba (UCO), Hispatec, Parc Agrobiotech Lleida, Centre d’Estudis Porcins (CEP), Agrotecnio, Centro de Investigaciones Agrarias de Mabegondo (CIAM) belonging to AGACAL, and Gradiant.
DATAlife also participates as an affiliate of Gradiant. The main role of the Hub in this project will be to act as a gateway and accompany companies interested in making use of all these testing and experimentation services.
