Digital Europe programme
The programa Digital Europe is the first EU programme to aim to accelerate Europe’s recovery and drive digital transformation .
Is a funding instrument whose objectives are to support and accelerate the digital transformation of the European economy, industry and society, bring its benefits to European citizens, public administrations and businesses across the Union, and improving Europe’s competitiveness in the global digital economy, while contributing to reducing the digital divide across the Union and strengthening its strategic autonomy, through global, cross-sectoral and cross-border support, and increased Union contribution.
It has a budget of more than 7600 million euros to execute in the period of 2021-2027. It will provide funding for projects in five crucial areas:
- Supercomputing (High performance computing)
- Artificial intelligence
- Cybersecurity
- Development of advanced digital skills
- Ensure the widespread use of digital technologies in the economy and society
