During the first European Conference of DIHs, held on January 26 and 27, 2021, it was announced that DATAlife will be one of the Spanish candidates to join the network of European Digital Innovation Hubs (EDIH), which aims to create interregional connections at European level.
The appointment was made by Anne-Marie Sassen, Head of the Digital Transformation of Industrial Ecosystems of the DG Connect of the European Commission, at the event held with more than 2,500 attendees. In total, 24 countries have selected 323 candidates to join the network of EDIHs, from which the Commission will select 200.
In this way, DATAlife re-validates the support of the administration, this time at the state level, with the selection by the Ministry of Industry, Trade and Tourism after being recognizec by the Xunta de Galicia as the most strategic digital innovation hub for Galicia.
The EDIHs will have access to financing to consolidate their activity, in a model shared between the Commission and the Member States, with a horizon of up to 7 years, which indicates the degree of commitment of the administration with de digital innovation hubs as a key instrument in improving the competitiveness of the European productive fabric.
